South Africa celebrates Human Rights Day on Saturday. It's observed on the day police opened fire on marchers at Sharpeville in the Vaal Triangle and Langa in Uitenhage in what became known as the Sharpeville and Langa massacres.
Cabinet has urged South Africans to celebrate Human Rights Day by fostering greater social cohesion and nation-building.
The 30th commemoration of the bloody Langa Massacre will be observed in Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape.
